My Drugstore Make up Starter Kit

So recently I have seen a lot of these posts floating around the blogging world  and thought I would do one I hope you like it and try out some of these products as in my opinion they are amazing.

Rimmel Match Perfection Liquid Foundation

So this was actually the first foundation I ever used and to be honest it has been my go to foundation since and as you can probably tell it has been well loved. It does not have very high coverage on spots as it is very lightweight but does cover redness. I find the finish is fairly dewy which I like but can be made matte with setting powder.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I won't write too much about this concealer as it is hyped about alot but as usual I was late to the hype and bought it a month or two ago but since then I have loved it and wished I had bought it earlier. The coverage lasts all day and the colour matches perfectly to my skin which rarely happens as I am so pale.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

This powder is absolutely amazing, this is probably my third or fourth powder and it has been in mymakeup bag for about a year and a half and I have probably used it nearly every day. I also find this great when I dont want to wear that much makeup but I want to be presentable and I put it over concealer with a bit of mascara and it works wonders.

Collection Blush

I only have one of these blushes by Collection which is really unusual for me as I usually get 2 of whatever I buy but I plan to get more, as this is the perfect blush. This is 02 Bashful and gives thenatural colour if I blushed. It is very long lasting and the colour pay off is great. I also recommend MUA blushes if you are on a tight budget as they are £1 (see my review here

MUA & Collection Eyeshadow Palette

I love both of these palettes so much and couldn't just pick one. The MUA palette is alot more light neutral in colour compared to the collection one where the browns are alot darker but the MUA palette has a lot more shimmer which in my opinion is better for night time or going out but it does have a handy black eyeshadow which is great to line eyes instead of using eyeliner ( if you do want a kohl eyeliner the Barry M one is great!) . I also love the MUA one as it is supposedly a dupe for the Naked 3 palette which I really wanted but the price put me off. The collection palette is more suitable for daytime due to the matte shades and I also find that the dark brown colour is great for my eyebrows hence the reason there is no eyebrow kit. the collection palette also has a highlighter which is an added bonus as it is great to have one palette that can do three things. both palettes come with a brush and are around £4.00

Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara

The Falsies is my favourite mascara I have tried, it is not perfect but I am incredibly picky and I cannot use certain ones due to allergic reactions I have had in the past but I have to say if you are just starting to wear makeup this is the one to try it gives lovely long lashes with a lot of volume (see my full review of this mascara here)

Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner

If you follow my blog you will know this is in most of my posts as I love it so much I had to include and to me winged eyeliner is a staple in my makeup routine but if you are just starting to wear makeup you can of course skip this product. I think this is possibly the best liquid eyeliner I have tried as it is so quick and easy to apply again I have already reviewed this product so if you want to see more check it out here

Rimmel Apocalips and Barry M lipstick

I have included two lip products as one is a lacquer and the other a lipstick so you can decide which format you prefer. The rimmel apocalips are my all time favourite lip products as they are so long lasting and the reds and pinks give a burst of colour, I have one nude from this range which is actually the only nude lip I own as I am not too keen but this one is really good. The application is a bit tricky so not great for on the go. I have two Barry M Lipsticks ( Genie and 158 ) but you are probably thinking green! Yes the lipstick is green but... its magic! Well not really magic but anyway it turns a pink colour which is a different shade each time depending on the alkali in your lips which I think is really cool, the packaging is not to die for but the colour lasts all day without touch ups. The other lipstick is a lovely orangey red with a hint of pink the colour is hard to describe but it is so nice, the colour pay off is amazing but does not last as long as the Genie one.

I really hope you enjoyed this post, comment below what would be in your makeup starter kit or let me know any posts you would like to see.
